I’m looking for a tool which notifiy me when a web page is updated.
I want to use it for watching website which do not provide RSS.
i am interested in a GUI windows application and also a web server for “collaborative wathching” like as a php java or sharepoint web.
http://www.aignes.com/ “website-watcher” seems to be THE windows GUI application.
Although http://pwatcher.sourceforge.net/ “Page update watcher” is a good FREE alternative.
watchthatpage.com is the kind of software I want. but I want the source code to have my own server. I dont want strangers to know what I am watching. I need home/company hosted watchthatpage.com or alert.google.com… is there any php or java application for that ?

Watch That Page is free but somewhat tricky to use. Website Watcher has a high rating but it isn’t free.
