I’m running Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise. I installed the Windows Sharepoint Services as a role from the ‘Configure your server’ wizard. Where would I locate the version of WSS? I’m guessing it’s 2.0 but I’m not sure.

I can’t say for sure for WSS, but if you know the name for the WSS DLL that gets loaded you can probably find out from the properties: browse to it, right click, properties, version.
This will be the internal MS version code, but a numeric version should correspond to a shipped numeric version. (For example, new XP OS files are tagged as version 6.)
