Dear Hiring Manager,

As a certified teacher with many years of experience working with students, parents, and other professionals, I am confident I would be an excellent fit as Administrative Assistant. I have extensive professional experience using Microsoft Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. As a result of my extensive background in various levels and types of classrooms, I have superb communication, organizational, and management skills which will allow me to make important contributions to Secure Mission Solutions.

As an adult education teacher, I goal-directed many short term drug treatment offenders to get their pre-GED and GED. By analyzing and communicating weekly on student progress and implementing individual lesson plans, students advanced which showed valued progression vital to program funding. In the position of Course Recovery Administrator, I coordinated district wide projects such as Constitution Day and Veteran’s Day celebrations while consistently encouraging and getting advancement from high school students. I am now interested in making similar contributions to Secure Mission Solutions.

I am very interested in learning more about the Administrative Assistant position available. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss how my experiences will be beneficial and an asset to Secure Mission Solutions. Thank you for your attention and consideration.

Sincerely,

My name

How do you attach audio files to a website using Microsoft Sharepoint?

Posted on 01 February 2011 by Tony

I am creating a website for my band and I would like to attach files for their listening and analysis assignments. So far I have been able to add pictures and worksheets, but the audio files will not attach.

I am fairly new to this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone could give me detailed instructions on how to do this, or perhaps a link to a manual that I can read while trying to figure this out, I’d appreciate it. My IT person was supposed to come down and help me 2 weeks ago and I’m tired of waitingg for him.

Chosen Answer:

Try using a Page Viewer web part. This is one of the few ways that multimedia can be added to a SharePoint web site.

FYI – it’s also the ways to add swf files to a SharePoint site – the file has to be added as a web page (not a file) in the Page Viewer web part for it to work.

Computer staff recruiting question?

Posted on 22 November 2008 by

Obviously I do not need YOU!! to answer as if you were in an interview, but give me some sort of indication of what I should expect to hear or be looking out for would be appreciated

Describe the process you would go through in order to roll out a software package using both Active Directory and Group Policy.

Can you explain the function of a firewall?

Do you have any experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007? If so, can you explain how you have used it in the past?

Can you explain the disaster recovery process that you had in place in a previous position?

Can you explain the major differences between a switch and hub?

You are in the office dealing with a damaged staff laptop, when the phone rings. It’s an irate user telling you they’ve run out of printer credit. At the same time one of the servers starts beeping an alarm signal. How do you deal with this situation?

Describe some form of network documentation you have produced in the past
Any scenario solutions appreciated

Sincere THANKS to all answers,
I need to make it clear I am NOT!!! seeking answers for myself on how to answer the above Q’s
I have done my time in the trenches
Am looking ofr serious answers of other opions from people.

Chosen Answer:

Well if I was interviewing you I would expect to hear accurate answers to the factual questions and then would follow up with (initially) one or two questions to verify your understanding. If you stumble on those questions a couple more would be offered to give you a chance to recover.

With the opinion type questions I would expect to get a rational answer from you and then you would be asked to defend your answer by answering provocative questions.

Remember that the interviewer will be trying to find out what you do know rather than what you don’t know and that they probably have a prior view of what answer they expect.

At the same time they will be evaluating you for how you would fit into their company and work team.

Good luck.

Sharepoint Question?

Posted on 29 July 2008 by

Hey guys. I’m new to Sharepoint and I’m trying to learn it by playing around with it. I was just wondering how do I go about creating a custom document library with custom columns? A link to a tutorial or other helpful articles would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Chosen Answer:

Well, it might help to know it’s a microsoft product, and ms is usually pretty generous with documentation and help on their products…here’s a website or 2 to get you started.

It’s not fun to use at work, kinda slow and funky. Totally intrigued that someone might deploy it elsewhere…

Wikipedia has good info–dedicated Sharepoint page or 2. Usually a great source, Wiki generally links off to so many external related srcs, you may never need another src or buy a thing. But this one of those days YA! seems to be disallowing Wiki links.
